One of the most controversial axes of Alberto Fernández's speech had to do with a new attack against Justice, in the midst of the judicial situation of Vice President Cristina Kirchner, aggravated after the conviction for money laundering against businessman K Lázaro Báez.

A day after the presentation of the president in Congress, the prosecutors warned of the intention to reform the Public Ministry, a proposal that they described as a

"firing squad

.

"

In addition, they assured that the changes aim to impede investigations against corruption.

"The initiative is not a reform, it has already been highly criticized because it is completely invaded by politics. Justice needs a reform, but not a temporary reform. The reform of the Public Ministry is a firing squad for prosecutors," assured Carlos Rívolo , head of the Association of Prosecutors of Argentina.

In dialogue with

Radio Miter

, Rívolo asked himself: "We want faster processes and are we going to create a court of federal guarantees when that competence is already held by the Court?"

"If these laws are successful, there will be a completely weak Public Prosecutor's Office. Investigating the causes related to the power of corruption or whatever, which has been difficult,

will become impossible,

" he said.
