The Jerusalem District Court granted the Prime Minister's defense attorneys' request for a hearing on another petition for the disclosure of confidential evidence in the Alps cases. The hearing will take place on March 17.

The Jerusalem District Court today (Tuesday) accepted the request of Adv. Amit Hadad, representing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, to set a hearing in the additional petition for the disclosure of confidential evidence. The hearing will take place on Wednesday, March 17, six days before the election. There has been a constant battle between the defense and the State Attorney's Office over this issue, with the court usually inclined to transfer materials to the defense.

Last February, the court accepted some of Elovich's defense arguments, and ordered the prosecution to submit a file of exhibits that includes all the documents it intends to present to the first prosecution witness Ilan Yeshua during his testimony within a week.

The court further ruled that within seven days, the accuser will inform the defense attorneys who the investigators will testify in the first group of witnesses.

At the beginning of last December, the court decided to transfer to the defense a series of investigative materials that the prosecution has refused to submit so far, as well as a number of additional documents to the court, all within 7 days.

This was an achievement for the defense, first of all because the court ordered the transfer of many dozens of documents that the prosecution insisted on not transferring.

Another achievement is in the type of documents related to key witnesses in the case, including former Walla CEO Ilan Yeshua and state witnesses Shlomo Pilber and Nir Hefetz.

The court also ordered the prosecution to hand over to the defense all documents related to a senior member of the DIP team, who claimed that the police had deviated from their role during the investigations, including all correspondence relating thereto.
