Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri asked to expedite the disclosure of the damage that affected the Lebanese coast from Naqoura to Beirut as a result of the Israeli oil spill off the shores of occupied Palestine.
Berri also asked, in a phone call with the Secretary-General of the High Relief Commission, Major General Muhammad Khair, to expedite the examination of the damage caused to the fishermen and their source of livelihood, and to determine the size of the losses they suffered in preparation for the payment of compensation to those affected.
The Media Office of the Presidency of the Lebanese Parliament pointed out that Berri, during a call with the President of the National Council for Scientific Research, Muin Hamza, reported on the progress of work supervised by the Council, whether to lift the damage or in terms of determining the size of pollution and its effects on the shore and on fish wealth.
