A bus with 45 passengers that was traveling to the city of Cochabamba in Bolivia, fell 150 meters down a ravine at dawn this Tuesday, causing the death of at least 20 people and injuring nine others, according to the director. Gonzalo Torrico, departmental authority of the Operative Transit Agency, to the state Bolivian Information Agency (ABI).
The traffic accident occurred at dawn this Tuesday at kilometer 72 of the interdepartmental road, in the area known as El Cañadón, ABI indicated.
"For reasons that are still being investigated, the driver lost control of the engine," Torrico told ABI.
CNN has tried unsuccessfully to contact the Traffic Operative Agency to obtain more details of the incident.
