After almost a week of uncertainty, two Dominican citizens kidnapped in Haiti while working on a film recording returned to their country, the Dominican Republic, on Monday in good health.
Maicol Enrique and Antonio Campusano Féliz were transferred to Santo Domingo, after being questioned by the Haitian judicial police, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Dominican Republic.
Members of the army escorted the brothers, ages 26 and 30, to their home in the municipality of Haina.
There they were greeted with joy by relatives and neighbors.
The kidnapping of the Dominicans occurred on the night of February 20 when they were returning to Port-au-Prince, after a day's work in the coastal city of Jacmel.
During their journey, armed men intercepted the convoy in which they were traveling.
Both brothers work as technicians for a film production company.
