The Israel Prize Committee decided today (Tuesday) to award the Prize for Lifetime Achievement to ZAKA Chairman Yehuda Meshi Zahav and former Foreign Ministry Director General Dr. Yosef Ciechanover following a special contribution to society and the state.
The award committee's explanations regarding Dr. Ciechanover stated that he was awarded "for his significant contribution to the state in a variety of fields, in the public service and outside it."
The committee's explanations regarding Yehuda Meshi Zahav state that the award will be given to him "for his extraordinary contribution to promoting assistance in disaster events and for his work to strengthen unity and bring hearts together in Israeli society."
