Royals fans are currently concerned about Prince Philip's health.

Now Buckingham Palace announced surprisingly: Philip has been moved to another clinic.

London - The great worries about Prince Philip are not diminishing.

Queen Elizabeth II's husband had already been hospitalized on February 16.

At first it was hoped that the 99-year-old could leave the clinic last weekend.

However, it was confirmed that Philip would stay there until this week.

Now surprising news is causing new worries.

Prince Philip: Worries persist - Queen's husband moved to another clinic

As a precautionary measure, Philip was first admitted to King Edward VII's Hospital in London for being unwell.

But now the monarch was taken to another clinic surprisingly.

"The Duke of Edinburgh was moved to St. Bartholomew's Hospital today," Buckingham Palace announced in a statement on Monday afternoon.

It was previously known that the reason for the hospital stay is probably an unspecified infection that Prince Philip caught.

As it is further stated in the notification from the palace, he should now be treated further in St. Bartholomew's because of his infection.

In addition, some tests would be carried out there to monitor a pre-existing heart disease more closely.

Prince Philip moved to another clinic - so is Queen Elizabeth II's husband.

However, the relocation does not mean that the prince's health situation has worsened.

"The Duke continues to feel well and reacts to his treatment," the official said about the measure.

Philip will probably stay in the clinic until at least the end of the week.

It would be the longest known hospital stay for the monarch, who is planning his 100th birthday this year.

However, the prince's infection should not be related to the corona virus.

Both Philip and the Queen have already received the first vaccination against the virus.

The fact that Philip was recently even allowed to receive a bedside visitor was still an absolute exception.

His son Charles had rushed to the clinic - and later left with tears in his eyes.

Pictures that worried many Royals fans.

Now it should be clear, however, what was really the reason for Charles' emotional reaction.
