In Garmisch-Partenkirchen, a tourist with a Munich license plate parked his car right on the mountain.

A local resident's “memo” sparked a well-known debate.

Garmisch-Partenkirchen - It's a constant topic - not just for the first time, but especially in the corona pandemic: day trippers from Munich are drawn to nature on nice days.

And some misbehave there, park where they want, go ski tours * on unauthorized trails and in droves, leaving excrement in nature *.

The locals usually denounce this.

This also happened last weekend.

A car with a Munich license plate drove up to the church village of Wamberg.

Just 30 people live up there at 1000 meters, their "view of the Wetterstein massif with the Alp and Zugspitze is breathtaking", says the Garmisch-Partenkirchen market website.

It also says: The village can be hiked in 40 minutes.

There is nothing to say about going up.

Car with a Munich license plate is parked on a meadow in Garmisch-Partenkirchen: the witness leaves a note

But the excursionist went even further: he parked his BMW in the middle of a meadow, directly below the little church of St. Anna.

That made a witness tear the hat string.

He or she left a handwritten note on the windshield, which was then posted with a photo of the wildlife parker in the Facebook group “You come from Garmisch-Partenkirchen, if ...”.

“Dear Munich day tourist,” it said.

The meadow section is private property, this is “not your parking space”.

The car owner can pay a parking fee at xy (this place has been made unrecognizable in the photo), next time parking in the hiking car park is recommended.

Or to stay in “beautiful Munich” right away.

Car parked on the mountain near Garmisch-Partenkirchen: One recommends driving by with the Odelfass

The post triggered a lively debate, which is not new in the corona pandemic in Garmisch-Partenkirchen *.

Some get upset and recommend taking the car into the valley "oe zu schiam" (pushing down) or coming by with the Odelfass.

“90%” are “foreigners” who do something like this.

Others remember the money that these day trippers bring to the Oberland *.

And that there are illegal parking lots everywhere, even with Garmisch license plates in Munich.

One or the other gets on the nerves of the "rushing" against the Munich residents, they write that their rural home is embarrassing to them from time to time.

In Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the dispute between some locals and day-trippers has escalated at the weekend.

Cars were scratched several times *.
