The new crown pneumonia epidemic continues. Today (2nd) there are 13 new cases in Hong Kong, involving multiple residences, including 7 faculty and staff dormitories of the University of Science and Technology, and a confirmed patient living in the Mainland, who lived in Hang Hau, Azure Bay 3 seat.

Since the government has tightened its policy earlier, no matter whether it is a source or an unsourced case, the building where the patient lives must be subject to mandatory testing. It is expected that at least five additional premises will be subject to mandatory testing today.

HKUST staff quarters on the list

Of the 13 newly added cases, 4 were no source cases and 3 were related cases.

In the 4 cases with no source, the patients’ addresses were Lijing Building, Choi Hung Road, Wong Tai Sin, 7 faculty dormitories of the Dao University of Science and Technology, Sai Kung University, and Block 10 of Shatin City One. The relevant buildings are expected to be subject to mandatory testing.

The other case was located in Sau Hong House, Sau Mau Ping Village, but the building was classified as a mandatory building as early as February 26.

Mainland patients living in the blue bay during the infectious period also need to be forced to check

Zhang Zhujun, director of the Infectious Diseases Division of the Center for Health Protection of the Department of Health, pointed out today that the person living in the staff dormitory of the University of Science and Technology may be related to a confirmed case in the Mainland. The two met and held meetings on the 23rd and 25th.

Zhang said that the mainland patient came to Hong Kong via Shenzhen Bay on the 16th with "Return to Hong Kong". At that time, the test result was negative. He lived in Hong Kong at Block 3 by the Blue Bay of Hangkou. Later, he was diagnosed after returning to Shanghai on the 27th.

Zhang Zhujun pointed out that because it is in the infectious period, all three buildings along the Azure Bay will be subject to mandatory testing.

Since the onset of patients living in the mainland is earlier, it may be the source of infection.

There are three other related cases, one of which is a patient at Huang Songyan Clinic who sees the doctor at the same time as the patient diagnosed earlier, and the other two are diagnosed at the quarantine center.

In the three cases, people living in Cheung Fung Building, Tung Chau Street, Sham Shui Po, are also expected to be subject to mandatory testing.

He also spent a day at "Staycation" at Marco Polo HongKong Hotel (Marco Polo HongKong Hotel) in Tsim Sha Tsui.
