District - There are many questions about vaccination.

The two directors of the vaccination center in Hausham, lawyer Beate Faus and Dr.

Thomas Straßmüller, answers our readers' questions on the subject.

How long is the vaccination center in Hausham open?

Beate Faus:

Probably by June 30th, maybe also by the end of the year.

This is currently difficult to plan because it depends on how quickly you can vaccinate.

In the medium term, the aim is for the general practitioners to carry out the vaccinations.

I signed up for a vaccination online three weeks ago.

Even though I'm over 80 years old, I haven't got an appointment yet.

How long do I still have to wait?

Dr.

Thomas Straßmüller:

Not much longer.

Unfortunately, we cannot make an exact statement because the selection is made via a computer system.

We have currently vaccinated around 2,600 out of around 7,500 people from their highest-priority age group.

Depending on how much vaccine we get, I assume you will be invited in the next four weeks.

I can only get vaccinated in June or December for therapy.

How do I get a suitable appointment?

Faus:

You register immediately and ignore the appointments until someone comes along that suits you.

I'm doing desensitization therapy right now.

My allergist advised me not to get vaccinated until 14 days after receiving such an injection.

If I get a vaccination appointment beforehand and then have to refuse it: Do I have to be at the bottom of the list?

Faus:

If you refuse a vaccination appointment or let it pass, someone else slips onto the waiting list.

You will then be offered new appointments via the central computer software.

However, you will not be punished for not being able to or not wanting to accept an appointment

Dr.

Straßmüller:

Exactly, you don't need to be afraid.

If you do not confirm the proposed date, you will be promptly proposed a new one.

My wife has already had her first vaccination, but then she had to go to the hospital for something else.

Now she can probably not keep her second vaccination appointment.

What should we do?

Dr.

Straßmüller:

In your case, it is best to call the district's vaccination hotline.

The colleagues will then work with you to find an alternative date.

You can also email the vaccination center with alternative offers when you can.

Then you will definitely be helped.

But this is really intended for emergencies, if there is no other way.

How much in advance do I have between invitation and vaccination?

Because I am no longer so mobile, I cannot spontaneously come to the vaccination center.

Dr.

Straßmüller:

You have a total of several dates to choose from.

But since we can only give appointments one week in advance, because the delivery quantities are only fixed for this week, we can only plan one week in advance.

You normally have at least two days.

Preference for previous illnesses?

I'm over 80 and have previous illnesses.

Will I get it earlier?

Faus:

No.

You already have the highest prioritization.

Within this group, there is no further subdivision according to previous illnesses, but prioritized according to age, as provided by the current Corona vaccination ordinance.

We have now vaccinated the over-90s.

At the moment it's the turn of the mid-80s.

We should be through with everyone over 80 by the end of March.

I am under 65 and have cancer.

Can I come in group 1?

Faus:

Unfortunately not.

The system envisages people aged 80 and over for group 1 because it has been found that age is the most important criterion.

If you have severe previous illnesses, you come to group 2. This classification is made centrally via the computer system.

We have no influence on this on site.

The exception is given if you are treated, cared for or cared for in a partial / inpatient facility.

Serious illness, but no prioritization?

I have a serious illness that is not on the list of previous illnesses.

How do I get an earlier prioritization anyway?

Faus:

For such cases, a central vaccination commission has now been set up at the state level, which evaluates such hardship cases.

The problem is that it just started on Thursday.

It will start work on March 1st.

The contact details are: Office of the Bavarian Vaccination Commission, Marchionistraße 15, 81377 Munich;

Email: application @ impfkommission.bayern;

I'll have my fourth heart operation in four weeks.

But because I'm only 39 years old, I have to wait even longer for a vaccination.

Is there really no chance that you will get it earlier?

Dr.

Straßmüller:

I want to be completely frank: I do not agree with the requirements of the Standing Vaccination Commission on all points.

Unfortunately, we do not have the opportunity to make exceptions on site.

The federal government wants to avoid that the districts make different decisions and thus make themselves legally vulnerable.

I can therefore only advise you to contact the newly created Vaccination Commission.

As a wheelchair user who is paralyzed on one side, I am 100 percent severely disabled and in need of care.

Nevertheless, because I'm in my 70s, I haven't had a vaccination yet.

Isn't that unfair?

Dr.

Straßmüller:

That is not a question for me, but for the Standing Vaccination Commission and the Federal Government.

I am fully with you that you are worse off - in two ways: You are under 80 and do not fall into priority group 1. And, at over 65, you are too old to receive the vaccine from Astrazeneca.

This means that you have to wait until the mRNA vaccines are sufficiently available.

I recommend that you contact the Vaccination Commission for hardship cases.
