The town hall chief emphasizes that the renovation will start soon.
Rumors are growing as to who will take over the café.
Wolfratshausen - The Rathauscafé in the old town slumbers asleep.
In the shop windows, blue plastic tarpaulins block the view of the interior; apart from a few paint cans and a garbage can, the guest room is empty.
According to Mayor Klaus Heilinglechner, however, the catering business should be brought to life as soon as possible: "We are on the home straight to sign the contract with the future tenant." Advertising circle.

"The planners are currently in final discussions with the tenant," says Heilinglechner.
There is still no specific time when the modernization and renovation work will begin.
Details such as the design of the sanitary facilities are still to be clarified.
"We expect that we will completely renew this section," says Robert Alischer, managing director of the municipal housing company (StäWo) commissioned with the work.
Alischer does not expect "that we will get started in March".
But he can imagine that the detailed planning will be completed at least by the end of this month.
One thing is clear: “Not much will happen in the basement, it will remain a storage room.” The city council decided this because the majority of the committee found the costs of converting the basement rooms into a bakery too high.
"We will mainly work on the ground floor," says civil engineer Alischer.
City hall chief does not reveal tenants - but a rumor holds up well
As Heilinglechner announced in December, a new tenant has been found.
When asked by our newspaper, Heilinglechner explained on Tuesday that the city council chose a “solvent restaurateur” who “is well known in the region and has experience”.
The town hall chief does not reveal who this person is.
The lease agreement between the municipality and the designated tenant has not yet been signed.

Hotels, bakeries and a restaurant: Kunstmann is an experienced entrepreneur
Kunstmann is active in many industries: Currently, the Wolfratshauser runs the Italian restaurant "Da Nonno", which is located in the Pupplinger Au between Wolfratshausen and Egling.
His company "Kunstmann Hotels & Food GmbH" has several hotels - two in Munich, three in Saxony-Anhalt - with a total of 60 employees and 650 beds.
A few months ago, the honorary commercial judge also took over the Weidacher Backstüberl and renamed it "Aehrenwert".
A bakery's vending truck is regularly on the move in various places.
The graduate in business administration has been directing the fortunes of the advertising group for almost a year.
The Rathauscafé has been orphaned since May 2019.
After a legal dispute between the ex-tenant and the city, there was an interested tenant duo who wanted to take over the premises as a pastry shop.
Because of the costs for the cellar renovation - a requirement of the tenants - their plans failed.
