As the police announced on Tuesday, the student died yesterday Monday as a result of her severe smoke inhalation.
After the fire in the early morning of February 16, the local woman was resuscitated.
A 28-year-old resident of the home in the Freimann district had also suffered severe smoke inhalation and was at times in mortal danger.
Many residents were able to get themselves to safety from the flames.
The fire had broken out in the sauna in the dormitory basement.
The rooms burned out completely.
The cause is still unclear.

Starting with a burning sauna in the basement, the entire stairwell was smoky - and turned into a life-threatening trap.

Computer science student Navid Mirnouri, who lives in the house, tells

When I heard the alarm, the stairwell was completely smoky.
You couldn't breathe. ”He ran out onto the balcony, where some residents were already waiting for the fire department *.
"At first there was panic, but the fire brigade was able to calm everyone down," said the 27-year-old.
The fire department received the emergency call at 2:30 a.m.
The rescuers were on site with a good 100 emergency services.

Student Valentin Barranco (23), who lives on the ground floor, says: "I ran out as soon as I heard the siren - the stairwell wasn't that smoky." However, everything went very quickly after that.
In a very short time, thick black smoke billowed through the building.
“It is always better to stay in the room than to walk into a smoky stairwell,” warns operations manager Christian Schnepf.
According to the police, 185 residents are registered in the home at Christoph-Probst-Straße.
How many were there at the time of the fire is uncertain.
The fire fighters helped 25 people out of the house.
Some could wait on the balconies while they were in the building.

A 28-year-old was lying unconscious in the basement.
He was taken to the hospital with severe smoke inhalation.
Shortly afterwards, the firefighters found a motionless 23-year-old lying in the hallway on the fourth floor.
The rescue service began resuscitation on site.
But: "Your condition is very critical," says police spokesman Andreas Franken.
Expect the worst.
According to the fire department, three other residents suffered minor injuries.
The police are now investigating why there was a fire in the sauna area with several rooms.
Due to the corona, the sauna was actually closed.
The Kripo investigates in all directions - from technical defects to arson.
“The building's fire protection devices were last checked in 2017.
Everything worked out fine, ”says Sebastian Stahn from the fire department.
The property damage is probably in the high six-figure range.
