On the grounds of the Martyr Nasih Alwani Sports Hall in Hama, the first final gathering competitions of the men's handball league championship began today, with the participation of six clubs.
The matches of the first day resulted in the victory of the Norias on Al-Jazirah 45-15, Al-Jaysh over Al-Shuala 23-29 and Al-Taleh over Al-Waqhah 46-21 goals.
The Nawaire coach, Mohamed Haddad, explained to SANA's correspondent that the team did not find it difficult to win on the island thanks to the good performance of the players in defense and attack, indicating that the team has a high technical and physical readiness and aspires to achieve positive results and compete for the league title this season.
For his part, Al-Jazira coach Karam Younes indicated that the team lost the match due to a “big shortage” in its ranks as a result of the absence of six players, pointing out that the team is participating in the league championship with the aim of making it a success despite the many difficulties it faced while preparing and traveling to Hama.
The gathering matches will be completed tomorrow with three matches, where Al-Yaqha plays with the Norias first, followed by the Al-Shuala match with Al-Jazeera, and its conclusion is the summit meeting between Al-Talia and Al-Jaish.
