The Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned in the strongest terms the Israeli aggression that targeted the vicinity of Damascus yesterday evening.
In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), a source in the ministry affirmed Syria's legitimate right to respond and defend the sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of its territories, and to respond with whatever means it deems appropriate to any new Israeli violations, stressing that the Yemeni people stand by Syria in all the measures it takes to protect its lands. And its security and stability.
The source called on the international community, especially the Security Council, to play its role in preserving international peace and security, and to put an end to the Israeli violations and its barbaric policies that undermine security and stability in the region and the world.
Yesterday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates confirmed in a letter to both the Secretary-General of the United Nations and the President of the Security Council that Syria has repeatedly called on the Council to condemn the repeated Israeli attacks on the sovereignty and integrity of its territories and to take firm and immediate measures to suppress these attacks and hold the Israeli occupation entity accountable for them.
