The struggle that is taking place in Ganei Tikva over the TMA 38 project clearly shows the complexity of the process. A number of apartment owners are trying to torpedo the project, and demand that an evacuation-construction project be promoted in its place.

The complex on the streets of Harama, the Judean Mountains and the Galilee Mountains includes 17 old buildings.

In the past, the possibility of evacuation-construction was examined and ruled out in the district committee and the local committee for planning and construction, since it is not possible to provide infrastructure for the expected number of apartments.

The local council recently released an up-to-date document pasting this position.

Opposing tenants have recently hung large signs expressing their opposition.

These signs have angered residents of nearby complexes, who now fear significant harm to their quality of life.

A resident of Ganei Tikva who lives nearby, who chose not to be exposed, said: "It is impossible to add 1,000 apartments in the most densely populated area. Hundreds of cars will completely block the area here, and where will all these people park? A neighborhood of private houses borders the complex, so how can "To set up a polluting and noisy construction project, at the end of which there will be towers that will cast a shadow? There is no infrastructure here that can support such a project."

A landlord in the complex, who chose to remain anonymous, said: "We live in old and crumbling buildings. Older people also live here, who are not built for these struggles. They deserve to see urban renewal in their lifetime. The vast majority of tenants understand that the only way forward is with the planned project. The apartment owners, who are now talking about eviction-construction in contrast to all the professional positions presented to everyone, think that they will be able to obtain a property with a higher value, without taking into account that they can cause damage, which will leave us in the same condition forever.
