The Undersecretary of Health, Hugo López-Gatell, is at his home after spending five days in hospital after contracting the covid-19 disease.
The head of Health, Jorge Alcocer, reported this Monday that Gatell "is very well" and with minimal symptoms after communicating on February 20 that he had tested positive for coronavirus.
Alcocer has pointed out that Gatell will rejoin his functions as the visible face against the fight against the coronavirus and in charge of informing about vaccination strategies in the next "two or three days".
A year and a day after the first case of coronavirus was registered in Mexico, the man who gives voice to the figures of the pandemic has recovered from the disease.
José Luis Alomía Zegarra, director of Epidemiology of the Ministry of Health, has confirmed in the evening press conference that the undersecretary will soon return to the screens to report on the progress of the fight against the virus.
