Swedish car maker Volvo has announced that it will gradually stop producing all cars with internal combustion engines and will manufacture only electric cars by 2030.
Sky News quoted the company as saying in a statement today that it will sell its fully electric cars exclusively via the Internet, but the dealerships will remain an important part of the customer experience and will remain responsible for a variety of important services such as car delivery and maintenance.
Volvo's announcement comes after US auto maker General Motors announced earlier this year that it would build battery-only cars by 2035.
