Alexeï Navalny has been imprisoned since last Saturday in "correctional colony number 2" (

, or IK-2), in Pokrov, in the Vladimir region, one hundred kilometers northeast of Moscow.
The number one opponent of the Kremlin is due to serve a two-and-a-half-year prison sentence there for non-compliance with judicial review as part of a suspended sentence for fraud which he received in 2014. On December 27, the Moscow judge had sent him a summons… for the next day.
Navalny was then still in Germany, where he was completing his convalescence after being the victim of an attempted poisoning last summer.
