Tehran-SANA

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Abbas Araghchi expressed his country's deep concern over the presence of takfiri terrorists in the disputed Nagorno Karabakh region between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Last November, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced that the Turkish regime had transferred terrorists from Syria to the conflict zone in the Nagorno Karabakh region, while media reports confirmed that the Erdogan regime had transferred a number of its mercenaries from northern Syria to participate in the fighting that was taking place in the region, where it was published. BBC interviews with terrorists from Syria who were transferred by the Turkish regime to the battlefront there.

The Iranian news agency IRNA quoted Araghchi as saying in his speech to an international conference on Karabakh that Iran has declared since the beginning of the conflict in Karabakh its logical position calling for settling the conflict and is still working to exploit opportunities in the context of settling the conflict.

Last November, Armenia and Azerbaijan reached a ceasefire agreement, under the auspices of Russia, that ended a dispute between the two countries over the Karabakh region that lasted for several weeks.
