The man who had run over soldiers in the car in 2017 in Levallois-Perret (Hauts-de-Seine) was sent back to the assizes for "
attempted assassination of a person holding public authority in connection with a terrorist enterprise
" , AFP learned from a judicial source on Tuesday.

The investigating judges in charge of the investigations ordered on February 26 a trial before an assize court specially composed for Hamou Benlatreche, following the requisitions of the national anti-terrorism prosecution (Pnat).

On August 9, 2017, this Algerian, then aged 36, injured six soldiers of Operation Sentinel, three of them seriously, by charging at them behind the wheel of his BMW in front of their local in Levallois-Perret.
