, confirmed by Netflix on his Twitter account, Alain Chabat will make an animated series based on the adventures of Asterix.
The project is the result of a collaboration between the streaming platform and the Albert René editions, which publish the albums of “
the most popular Gallic of all time
”.
Almost 20 years after directing
Asterix and Obelix: Mission Cleopatra
, a huge box-office success with more than 14 million admissions, Alain Chabat therefore returns to the universe created by Albert Uderzo and René Goscinny in 1959. The broadcast of this original creation should take place in 2023.
The animated series will be the adaptation of an album of the adventures of Asterix and Obelix, published in 1966,
