The Iranian President's Assistant for Scientific and Technical Affairs, Dr. Surna Stari, affirmed his country's readiness to transfer expertise and export his country's products to Syria, especially technical ones, and to train Syrian students in Iran in the technical field.
During his meeting with the accompanying delegation with the Chairman and members of the Board of Directors of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce at the Federation headquarters, Stari pointed out the importance of the Iranian Center for Innovation and Technology, which was inaugurated today to introduce the Syrian market to Iranian products.
In his turn, President of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce Muhammad Abu Al-Hoda Al-Lahham pointed to the importance of increasing the volume of trade exchange, benefiting from Iranian expertise in the technological field, developing cooperation between businessmen in the two countries, facilitating the transportation of goods, and studying the creation of a joint Syrian-Iranian bank.
In the Damascus Free Zone, the Iranian Center for Innovation and Technology was opened today, to be a factor in strengthening scientific and economic relations between the two countries and a mediator between their commercial companies operating in the fields of biotechnology, information technology, "nanotechnology", communications and technical industries and laying the necessary infrastructure for that.
The meeting was attended by the Iranian ambassador in Damascus, Javad Turkabadi.
