Australian scientists have developed the world's first surface spray that kills viruses, including the emerging corona virus, on surfaces within 90 seconds.
According to a report published by the specialized Nezharald website, the Australian cleanser called "Vero Clear" can combine three elements: speed, non-toxicity and adaptability for use on surfaces and skin, in addition to being safe, fast, low irritation and does not cause dryness, which is especially important for those who cleanse their hands several Times a day like staff in hospitality and nursing homes.
The head of the disinfectant developer Ross McDougald said the spray would first be provided as a hand and surface disinfectant for 5.5 million Australians in schools, universities, elderly care facilities and hospitality places, with supplies to the community then provided early at the end of the month.
"We expect to be in a position to export disinfectant to the United States, Asia and Europe by the middle of the year to complete the large-scale global vaccination process," said MacDogald, noting that the product will also be offered to public transportation users in the coming months.
It is noteworthy that other surface disinfectants take up to 10 minutes to kill the coronavirus, and some are unable to do so at all.
