The summary judge of the administrative court of Dijon, seized by the prefect of Saône-et-Loire, suspended the mayor's order of March 1, 2021 authorizing the funfair from March 5 to 14, 2021, the court said in a press release. .
The judge underlined "
the incompetence of the mayor to decide to relax the restrictions decided by the Prime Minister under the special police powers conferred on him by the state of health emergency
" and the "
direct violation of the decree of 29 October 2020 banning fairgrounds,
”said the court.
Gilles Platret, also LR leader in the regional elections in Burgundy-Franche-Comté, came to defend his decree in Dijon, accompanied by a hundred fairgrounds and supporters, who brandished a giant banner marked "

”.
Speaking in front of the small crowd, the mayor, customary of controversial decrees defying prefectural bans, had assured wanting to defend fairgrounds who "
