But a small portion of the electrons they consume is bought overnight by their supplier on the European electricity exchange Epex Spot.
The price per kilowatt hour there varies according to supply and demand.
A newcomer to the French market, the Danish Barry, has been offering individuals for a few days to pay their kilowatt-hours at a price strictly modeled on this electricity exchange.
Barry is 100% digital.

Each user can thus perform the most energy-consuming tasks, such as washing clothes, running the dishwasher or charging their appliances, when electricity is cheapest. ”
To do this, the application is connected to real-time consumption data delivered by the meter
