On Wednesday, the budget committee of the Bundestag approved two million euros for the renovation of the Peitinger ice rink.
That is less than the 45 percent hoped for, but given the large number of applications for the funding program, they are still “very, very happy,” said the mayor happily.

Ostenrieder, together with treasurer Christian Hollrieder and EC Peiting managing director Peter Gast, received the good news personally in Berlin from the CSU constituency member Alexander Dobrindt.

The renovation is expected to pick up speed as early as next year
The renovation should start to take off as early as next year, Ostenrieder announced on Wednesday.
