A batch of 200 thousand doses of the Covishield vaccine, produced in India under the license of AstraZeneca, was received early this Wednesday at the La Aurora airport in Guatemala.

  • Guatemalan Health Minister denounces the purchase of alleged false tests to detect covid-19

The donation was appreciated by the Guatemalan government authorities, who highlighted that they also previously received other medical supplies sent by India in the framework of the management of the coronavirus pandemic.

The immunization plan contemplates that these new doses will be applied to personnel on the first line of response to COVID-19, the government reported.
