The objective is now for scientists to find this meteorite in the field,
" said the Ferme aux étoiles, an establishment in the Gers whose camera detected the meteorite in a statement.
It is the À Ciel Ouvert association, the member of the participatory network Vigie Ciel (supported by the National Museum of Natural History) closest to the place of arrival of the meteorite, which is in charge of this operation.
The general public is called upon to report any sighting or presence of unusual objects.
83 witnesses have already completed the report form.
Field research will also be organized in the coming days in compliance with health rules, according to Vigie Ciel.
