Orban's party leaves the EPP to the EU Parliament

(ANSA) - BERLIN, 03 MAR - Hungarian leader Viktor Orban has announced the withdrawal of the MEPs of his Fidesz party from the EPP.

He announced it on Facebook.


    "We will not allow our MEPs to be silenced or limited in their ability to represent our constituents. Tackling the pandemic and saving lives remains our number one priority.


   Therefore, following the adoption of the new EPP group rules, Fidesz has decided to leave the Group ".

Katalin Novák, Hungarian minister, writes it on Twitter.
