Hungarian leader Viktor Orban announced the withdrawal of MEPs from his Fidesz party from the EPP. He announced it on Facebook.
"The amendments to the EPP group rules are clearly a hostile move against Fidesz. Restricting our MEPs in their ability to represent our voters is undemocratic, unfair and unacceptable." Thus the Hungarian premier Viktor Orban in the letter sent to Manfred Weber, the president of the EPP group in the European Parliament, where the Hungarian leader announced the withdrawal of the Fidezs delegation from the European People's Party, "with immediate effect".
