Regional elections: environmentalists thirst for victory in Ile-de-France

2021-03-03T15:58:27.338Z

This Wednesday, the eight heads of the list of environmentalists met for the first time officially around their leader, Julien Bayo

They have all come, they have all spoken and are all planning to win!

This Wednesday morning, a day of fine particle pollution, all the head of the environmentalist lists were gathered to officially launch into the battle for the regional elections in June, in the 19th arrondissement of Paris, under the leadership of their leader, Julien Bayou .

And the least we can say is that the green candidates are thirsty for victory.

Their goal: to bring down Valérie Pécresse, the current president (Libres!) Of the Ile-de-France region.

Push her out at the end of her first term and push her mostly alone without resorting to an alliance.

At least if possible in the second round.

“We are already the meeting of six parties

(Editor's note: Movement of progressives, Independent environmental alliance, Generation. S, Generation ecology, EELV and Cap21)

.

We will take our applications to the first and second round to offer a real work-study program, underlines Julien Bayou.

The question is therefore not whether we are going to make an alliance with Audrey Pulvar

(Ile-de-France in common)

but whether she wants to join us.

The message is clear: environmentalists feel strong and are making it known.

But beyond this small clarification, all the candidates castigated the policy of the current president.

"The region is an open window where clientelism is everywhere", for Ghislaine Senée, the Yveline candidate.

"Madame Pécresse may be a woman and assumes not to engage in feminist politics," says Val-de-Marnaise Annie Lahmer.

"The right does not work in the interests of Ile-de-France residents," asserts Carine Pelegrin (Val-d'Oise).

Critics are fired.

Anne Hidalgo, the mayor (PS) of Paris, is not spared either.

"Before announcing decisions or announcing choices such as for containment, she must consult more around Paris," said François Bechieau for his part.

Ecology at the base of all public action

Develop organic farms, make ecology the basis of all decisions, work better with the regions, particularly in terms of transport links, limit concreting as in Saclay (Essonne) or Gonesse (Val-d'Oise), reduce chlorine in swimming pools, make room for social housing - "something beautiful for the working class" as Roberto Romero will say with a smile -, preserve the green lungs of Ile-de-France and fight against endocrine disruptors, take back the management of water ... The ideas of the candidates are varied and the speeches well oiled and timed or almost.

But will that be enough to seize the seat of the region in Saint-Ouen (Seine-Saint-Denis)?

Response in four months after a field campaign under the sign of the Covid.

The heads of the list: Julien Bayou (Paris);

Jacques Huleux (Seine-et-Marne);

Ghislaine Senée (Yvelines);

Hella Kribi (Essonne);

Roberto Romero (Hauts-de-Seine);

Kader Chibane (Seine-Saint-Denis);

Annie Lahmer (Val-de-Marne);

Carine Pelegrin (Val-d'Oise).
