From January to February this year, the Public Housing Association sent questionnaires to buildings with 60-year-old buildings and incorporated owners in Kwun Tong and Sham Shui Po, and sent them to 1,233 buildings, and received them in early February. 56 questionnaires.

Lim Bo, a member of the Research Group Concerning Subdivided Housing Rent Control of the Public Housing Association, said that subdivided households in Kowloon City and To Kwawan were charged RMB 4 per kilowatt-hour of electricity and had to pay an electricity bill of RMB 2,000 a month.

The Public Housing Association recommends that, in the long run, separate electricity meters should be installed for subdivided houses, and a standard lease agreement should be established, which stipulates that fees can only be collected based on official documents and that the costs can be shared in proportion to the area of ​​the subdivided houses.

As for the forthcoming report of the Research Group on Sub-Rent Control, the Public Housing Federation said it supports the establishment of rent control. Regarding the regulation of rent, it is recommended to set the initial rent based on the rateable value set by the marginal estimate, and the rate of rent increase at the same time. The cap is no more than 10%.
