A total of 87,550 doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine arrived at midnight this Wednesday on a flight from Miami to the Tocumen International Airport in Panama City.

It is the fourth batch of coronavirus vaccines to arrive in the country.

With this new shipment, the second doses to the corresponding people would be completed, the essential groups would be finished vaccinating and this week the mass vaccination of adults over 60 years of age would begin, as reported hours before by the country's Minister of Health. , Luis Francisco Sucre, at a press conference.

Since January 20, the government of Panama has received 245,470 doses of covid-19 vaccines divided into 4 batches, all from the pharmaceutical company Pfizer.
