The Mexican president has received criticism on social networks from users who question why López Obrador practices sports while the covid-19 pandemic has claimed the lives of more than 186,000 people in the country. This is not the first time that the president of Mexico has published videos in which he practices baseball during a pandemic. On January 4, López Obrador tweeted a video of him throwing a ball and hitting. In this video, the Mexican president justified his action by assuring that physical exercise is "preventive medicine."
