Weapons of various kinds were stolen last night (Wednesday) from a shooting range in Ashdod, after the thieves apparently broke into the place.
Police forces arrived at the scene this morning following a complaint about the burglary.
The commander of the Lachish area, Lt. Gen. Ronen Avnieli, arrived at the scene, had a special situation assessment and decided to impose the investigation on the central unit of the Lachish area.
Forensic investigators and other units are now working in the area to reach for the stolen weapons, identify the suspects in the act and bring about their arrest.
Following the case, the Magistrate's Court in Ashdod imposed a restraining order on all the details of the investigation of the case.
