The 27-year-old skier Andrea Filser from SV Wildsteig achieved the greatest success of her career by winning the bronze medal in the team competition at the World Championships in Cortina d 'Ampezzo.
That was the reason for the sports club to receive Filser together with Mayor Josef Taffertshofer on their return to Morgenbach.
Wildsteig - After a champagne reception with Filser's family, SV chairman Bernhard Schilcher presented the racer with a bouquet of flowers and thanked not only for her excellent performance, but also for always remaining loyal to the Wildsteiger sports club with its 680 members.
In the name of the community, von Taffertshofer gave further words of praise for his now well-known national citizen.
In addition to financial support from the community treasury, Filser was surprised to have another great honor: she was the first to be entered in the community's golden book.
Schilcher especially praised and recognized the parents who always supported their Andrea with body and soul - even in bad years.
For Filser, the World Cup in Jasna / Slovakia continues this week.
