Geretsried - Lovingly designed postcards, watercolors, sculptures and embroidered doilies are currently attracting the attention of passers-by.
The handicrafts are exhibited in the windows of the “Wir sind Stein” neighborhood meeting at Steiner Ring 10.
They come from women from Geretsried and the surrounding area.
The reason for the campaign is International Women's Day on March 8th.
Opening due to the lockdown in the open air
“The talents and hobbies of the participants between their mid-20s and mid-70s are very diverse.
We are pleased to be able to give you an insight into her work, ”said Hannah Schreyer from the“ Active Integration ”working group of the sponsoring association for youth and social work at the exhibition opening on Monday.
This took place outdoors due to the lockdown restrictions.

Seven amateur artists are currently presenting their work, from April 1st, seven others will have their turn due to lack of space.
"We would not have been so strict and would have taken men too, but actually only women reported," reported Schreyer with a smile.
Artist from China
Ziye Wen, who is originally from China, is one of them.
The young woman said that she happened to get to know watercolor painting two years ago and with her discovered “the greatest passion of my life.” Ziye Wen's flowers, landscapes and people are in the style of Chinese painting.
More than exact replicas, this art movement is about capturing moods and atmospheres that are intended to arouse sensations in the viewer.
Ziye Wen wants to attract attention with the small exhibition.

A short introduction and a business card from the other participants are also available in a transparent cover to take away.
The description of Ursula Sebb made of stone tells that she was inspired to paint in watercolors by a painting trip to Tuscany.
You can see from her pictures that she has already completed several courses with Inge Fasching, who is known in the district, and that she has a lot of practice.
The elderly woman prefers to paint still lifes.
Gabriele Klier from Gartenberg has exhibited crochet and knitting work as well as pictures, including lavishly decorated curtains.

Stamp for textile printing
Katharina Hader from Icking would like to share her passion for designing textiles and paper with others.
To this end, she passes on her experience with textile printing in courses and makes her extensive collection of stamps available to the participants.
Works can be admired until March 31st
Barbara Ehrenreich from Steiner is known in the local art scene.
She has already exhibited her watercolors, oil paintings and sculptures several times, for example in the Loisachhalle in Wolfratshausen and in the Hollerhaus in Irschenhausen.
Finally, the Geretsriederin Kornelia Kraus conjures up fabulous creatures, animals and landscapes on canvas with pastel chalk, gouache and acrylic paints.
The very different exhibits of the seven women can be admired until March 31st.
