A short time ago (Wednesday), a report was received of an explosion at a factory at the Tzrifin junction, apparently as a result of a fire that broke out at the site.
Two wounded, in serious condition and in moderate condition, were evacuated to Assaf Harofeh Hospital for medical treatment.
Seven fire and rescue teams are currently operating at the fire, at a pipe factory in the Nir Zvi industrial zone as a result of an explosion.
Instead of gas cylinders being involved in the fire, firefighters are working to contain the fire and lower the flames.
District assistance was activated at the scene.
MDA reported: "At 12:00, a report was received at MDA's 101 hotline in the Ayalon area about two workers who were injured during their work at a factory in the Zrifin area.
"MDA medics and paramedics provide medical treatment and refer to Shamir Assaf Hospital. The doctor, 2 workers aged 29 and 35 in moderate-severe condition with burns on their upper body."
MDA paramedics Yossi Nabul and Gershi Alperin said: "When we arrived at the factory, two workers rescued us after they were injured during their work.
We quickly transferred them to the intensive care unit, provided them with primary medical care in the field and evacuated them to the hospital when their condition was moderate-severe. "
The background to the explosion is not yet clear, the circumstances of the case are being investigated
