I grew up seeing the infantas Elena and Cristina on the cover of pink magazines.
Their baptisms and communions, their trips to and from school, their summers in Mallorca, their engagements and, of course, their lavish weddings, broadcast on public TV with a wide array of media without anyone saying a peep.
What less.
The first-born and the middle-born of the idolized King Juan Carlos, sisters of the heir, were married, relegated by a Constitution that still privileges the male over the female without any party dropping the initials of disgrace.
Then came all the debacles, private and public.
