XV of France: who are the Blues on the bridge this weekend in Top 14?

Apart from the twelve players of the XV of France who tested positive for Covid-19 after the outbreak of cases in Marcoussis, other players released by the staff of Fabien Galthié will tread the lawns of the Top 14. Toulouse Cyril Baille, Antoine Dupont , Julien Marchand and Peato Mauvaka, who had tested positive, will not be able to play.

Parisian centers Gaël Fickou and Jonathan Danty also resumed training on Thursday with Stade Français and therefore apply for a place in the 23 for the Top 14 match on Saturday against Agen, coach Gonzalo Quesada explained Thursday.

The two internationals were in Marcoussis last week to prepare, with the XV of France, the match of the Six Nations Tournament scheduled for last Sunday against Scotland but finally postponed after a sixteenth positive Covid-19 case in the French ranks.

Fickou and Danty substitutes against Agen?

Placed in solitary confinement upon their return to their club at the end of last week, "they trained for the first time today (Thursday)," Quesada said during a press briefing at the Jean-Bouin stadium.

The two players will not however be holders for the reception of Agen, during the 18th day of Top 14, according to the words of the Argentine technician.

“There are others who have trained in previous weeks, especially at the start of the week Monday and Tuesday.

So, for the starting team, we respected those who trained at the start of the week and then maybe we will count with them (Fickou and Danty) to strengthen our bench, ”explained Quesada.
