He said that he immediately fled outside the door of the unit after he found a fire on the floor, but was surrounded by the fire and heavy smoke and was unable to leave, and the heavy smoke continued to pour into the unit, so he opened the window grilles and climbed out of the canopy to take shelter.

Because the fire was too violent, he said that he could not stand the heat, so he had to venture out of the canopy and jump to the roof of the fence building to escape. Fortunately, he was not injured.

The reporter boarded the tenement house of Hengfeng Building in the incident and found that the roofs and canopies of the two buildings were about 3 meters apart, with a height difference.

The Indian man said that the escape process was thrilling. At that time, he relied on courage and jumping ability to jump to the opposite building to escape. As for the tenement building that caused the accident, there were two stairs, and there were a lot of debris on the back stairs. Many objects have been burned, including large homes. There are three washing machines. Some residents say that there are long-term sundries on the floor, but they don't know who is the owner.

On the roof of the building, several units were chained, and a police notice was posted outside the door urging the head of the household to contact the police.

The police classified the case as arson, and no one has been arrested yet.

It is understood that when the incident occurred, a nearby resident saw a South Asian man wearing a dark shirt who was sitting in an air-conditioner for evacuation. He suddenly jumped over the opposite building, fearing that he might stumble and fall into the cold alley between the two buildings. Call the firefighter immediately.

Firefighters arrived at the scene to put out the fire. About 20 people were to be evacuated to a safe place. Later, the "jumping man" was also found in the adjacent building and confirmed that he was not injured.
