INFOGRAPHIC - Pending new government announcements, here are the reasons why the people of Nice and Dunkirk have the right to travel during their weekends.

During a meeting Tuesday with LREM deputies, Prime Minister Jean Castex spoke of the epidemic situation in the country.

And this is clearly not the time for optimism.

"

The coming weeks will be difficult

"

,

he warned, adding that the territorial approach to stem the spread of the virus remains, for now, the primary option.

Since last weekend, the Alpes-Maritimes and the Dunkirk region have been living under a bell from Friday 6 p.m. to Monday 6 a.m.

Suffice to say that the first consequences of the measures taken in Nice and the 63 municipalities of the department - from Théoule-sur-Mer to Menton - and Dunkirk are carefully scrutinized by the authorities.

However, the figures show no improvement.

In particular for the agglomeration of Dunkirk.

The incidence rate there reached 1,039 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, against 910 on Friday, according to the Regional Health Agency (ARS).

In the Hauts-de-Flandre commune community (CCHF), neighboring the CUD, this rate reached 899 cases against 844 at the end of the week.

At Dunkirk hospital, the SAMU carried out the first transfers of intensive care patients outside the region on Tuesday, with two patients evacuated by helicopter to Le Havre hospital in Normandy, said the ARS in a press release, specifying that

" other inter-regional transfers could take place in the coming days ".

In February, the hospital carried out 79 transfers of intensive care patients to other establishments in the region.

Suffice to say that during the traditional press conference of Jean Castex Thursday March 4, announcements around a localized confinement at the weekend in other areas of France are expected.

And undoubtedly among the 20 departments - which notably cover Paris, Lyon and Marseille - that the executive had put under surveillance last week.

In the meantime,

Le Figaro

takes stock of the activities that are authorized or prohibited in the Alpes-Maritimes and in Dunkirk during the weekend.
