Death of Elisa Pilarski: her companion, owner of Curtis, indicted for manslaughter

Christophe Ellul, owner of the dog Curtis, was indicted "for having by clumsiness, recklessness, inattention, negligence or breach of an obligation of prudence or safety" caused the death of his companion.


A year and a half after the facts, Elisa Pilarski's companion was indicted for manslaughter, the Soissons prosecutor's office told AFP.

The young woman, 29 years old and 6 months pregnant, was found dead on November 16, 2019 in the forest of Retz in Saint-Pierre Aigle, in the Aisne.

Christophe Ellul was indicted "for having by clumsiness, recklessness, inattention, negligence or breach of an obligation of prudence or security (...) involuntarily caused the death" of his companion, "resulting from the aggression committed by several dogs which he owned or kept ”, according to a press release from the prosecution.

He was placed under judicial supervision.

This decision is linked to all the elements that have been collected for more than a year: testimonies, telephony, expertise on the jaws, that on the

behavior of the dog, its training, its illegal importation, and DNA.

Christophe has certainly requested a second opinion, but it was refused because the conclusions are not questionable,

"continues the lawyer, adding that this indictment should lead to a referral of Christophe Ellul to the criminal court.
