At about 4 pm today (4th), the police received a report stating that a newborn baby was found in a building at 18 Wing Yiu Street, To Kwa Wan, and was suspected of being abandoned.
Ambulancemen rushed to the scene and sent a baby girl to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment. The police are looking for her biological mother.
According to the on-site closed-circuit television, a woman with shovel hair wearing a short-sleeved shirt, shorts and slippers, holding a pink cloth similar to that of a baby girl, walked into Yongyao Street and entered the building, and then walked out with her hands empty.
The police suspected that the shoveling woman was an abandoned baby, and they are following her to assist in the investigation.
