The social network, Facebook, today lifted the ban on political ads that was imposed in the wake of the US elections last November.
The network said on its website, "After we implemented this temporary ban during the November 2020 elections to avoid misuse, today we re-display ads related to politics, elections and advertisements related to public matters in the United States."
The network considered that it has benefited from the experience of the US elections and as a result, in the coming months, it will study in more detail how such advertisements work and understand the changes that can be made.
Google had earlier lifted the ban on political ads, which was imposed after the protests in Washington last January and before the inauguration of US President Joe Biden.
