Five people died and more than twenty others were injured this evening, as a "semi-Pullman" bus deteriorated near the city of Qara on the Damascus-Homs road.
A source from the Public Roads Police Center in Al-Nabek told SANA that a bus that was heading from Damascus to Homs went out of its path and settled on the middle of the road near a continent, which led to the death of three women and two men and the injury of 23 others with injuries of varying severity.
The source pointed out that the cause of the accident was due to excessive speed in addition to the prevailing weather conditions, pointing to the withdrawal of the bus from the road and opening it to traffic.
One person died and ten others were injured today, as a tanker and van carrying passengers collided on the same road in the Qara region.
