The prototype of the US Star Ship space rocket exploded minutes after it landed during a test flight that took off today from the coast of Texas.
Reuters reported that the prototype took off during a test flight and reached an altitude of about 10 kilometers, made a turn and landed successfully, but it exploded about six minutes after its landing.
The US developer of the missile, SpaceX, has not yet made any comment about the launch and its outcome.
A missile of the same prototype met the same fate and exploded last December, as it succeeded in taking off before landing and crashing in a huge ball of flame.
