In support of the wounded of the Syrian Arab Army and its auxiliary forces, the Revolutionary Youth Union has opened a second center program for physical treatment in the city of Salhab in the western Hama countryside, which includes the latest electrical and mechanical equipment needed for physical therapy, in addition to specialized medical, technical and nursing staff.

Dr. Anwar Ali, Director of the Health Zone in Al-Ghab area in Hama countryside, indicated in a statement to SANA's correspondent the medical and treatment services that the center will provide to the wounded, especially those who have been subjected to amputations, paralysis and others, indicating that the center has complete data on the names of the wounded, their whereabouts and the rates of disability among them in order to facilitate the process Communicate with them and follow up on their treatment periodically.

Ali pointed out that the Hama Health Directorate had set up a special ambulance to transport the wounded to and from the center, in order to facilitate them and ease the burden on them in reaching and leaving the center.

The wounded Major Fahd Moussa, who is paralyzed in the limbs and is undergoing treatment at the center, confirmed that the opening of this center contributes to providing treatment services to patients in the Al-Ghab region, where the target population is subject to an integrated treatment program for several stages with follow-up and supervision of specialists in physical therapy.

The retired assistant, Mahdi Al-Mawi, a war-wounded person, showed that the center includes 14 physical therapy devices, which are the latest of their kind in Syria, which are not available in other hospitals and other medical centers to provide treatment for cases of limb amputations and various injuries in a manner that qualifies the wounded and injured to recover gradually and restore their mobility.

Afif Dalla, head of the Revolutionary Youth Union, explained in a statement to reporters that the opening of the center in the city of Salhab comes within the union’s plan for the work phase extending between 2021 and 2025 in accordance with strategic objectives, general policies and principles embodying the organization’s vision, indicating that this center is the second after the Homs Center, which was inaugurated in February. The past is in the youth headquarters, and the rest of the similar centers are to be opened successively in several governorates, which will provide neurological and motor treatment services to the wounded army and auxiliary forces by specialized medical teams.

Dalla pointed out that these centers are provided, in addition to modern medical equipment and supplies, with means of entertainment and education, halls for practicing sports for the wounded, and reading halls, which resulted from cooperation with the partners of the Revolutionary Youth Union from official and civil activities, as well as the role and efforts of youth volunteer teams in the governorates with the aim of devoting the culture of Community service.

The inauguration of the center was attended by the Governor of Hama, Engineer Muhammad Tariq Kreshati, and the Secretary of the Hama Branch of the Arab Baath Socialist Party, Eng. Ashraf Pachauri, and official and civil events.
