The three first-class historical buildings recommended by the Office of Antiquities and Heritage to be upgraded to statutory monuments are the Bonham Road Government Primary School in Sai Ying Pun, the Old Tai Po Police Station and the Hip Tian Temple in Shan Tsui Village, Sha Tau Kok; the three buildings were on September 10, 2020. , December 18, 2009 and April 16, 2010 were rated as first-class historical buildings.

The Antiquities Office pointed out that they have important cultural relics and have reached the threshold of being listed as statutory monuments for permanent protection.

Bonham Road Government Primary School: Properly preserve the spiral staircase

The Bonham Road Government Primary School in Xiyingpan was completed from 1940 to 1941. It was originally Luo Fuguo Teachers College. It was later used as the headquarters of the Japanese military police during the Japanese Occupation. It was later used as the Zhongda United College until 2000. It was changed to Bonham Road Government Primary School in the year.

According to the Antiquities Office, the 3-storey main building is a modern and streamlined building. The air-raid shelters in the main building are also rare in old buildings in Hong Kong; its floor tiles and spiral staircases have also been properly preserved.

Old Tai Po Police Station: 122 years of history was revitalized as "Green School"

The Old Tai Po Police Station was completed in 1899 and has a history of 122 years. It is composed of 3 buildings with simple interior design, and its windowsills and stoves are also preserved.

The Old Tai Po Police Station has been included in the Revitalization of Historic Buildings Partnership Project and has been revitalized as the "Lvhui Academy".

Shatoujiao Xietian Temple: about 127 years of history

The Xietian Temple was completed between 1894 and 1895 and has a history of about 127 years.

It was once used as a "Ford Private School", and then part of it was used as a "Shan Tsui Public School" in 1959. It was renamed "Ford School Primary School" in 2015, and it was not used for teaching purposes.

The Office of Historic Sites stated that it had historical significance for the early development of Sha Tau Kok, and that it played a role in religion and education in society.
