A police officer accused of raping or sexually assaulting several children, including babies, and sharing child pornography images on the internet between 2011 and 2018, was sentenced this Friday to 18 years in prison by the Yvelines Assize Court.

In this particularly sordid trial, which took place behind closed doors since Monday, the Versailles prosecutor's office had required twenty years of criminal imprisonment for rape of minors and the detention, dissemination and recording of child pornography images against this Hauts-de-Seine official, who was found guilty of assaulting a dozen children and infants, belonging to his family or his entourage.
He was sentenced to 18 years of criminal imprisonment with a security period of two-thirds, an obligation of follow-up for 20 years, a ban on working in contact with children and a care order.

", responded to AFP Me Céline Astolfe, lawyer for the Children's Foundation, which had become a civil party.
During the search of the home of the accused in Mantes-la-Jolie (Yvelines) in March 2018, investigators discovered more than 234,000 photographs and nearly 7,000 child pornography videos, some taken or shot by him.
These images, "
hardly sustainable
" according to the accusation, show in particular the rapes of babies.

" before the attacks were also found by the investigators.
A modus operandi that he denies, despite the presence of traces of these products in the hair of some abused children.

The 35-year-old man, who had a clean criminal record, was identified through an investigation of a 27-year-old Angevin, who was for his part returned to the assizes for a series of aggravated rapes and aggravated sexual assault, committed between 2010 and 2018. The two men met via pedophile sites.
The examination of the computer files of the accused Angevin made it possible to go back to the police officer who worked in Nanterre and brought to light a network on which men exchanged child pornography and encouraged each other to film their attacks.
During his various hearings during the procedure, the Nanterre police officer had recognized “
touching
” on children but always contested the penetrations, despite the videos and photographs tending to prove the contrary.
